- First thing to do is learn as much as you can about the breed to ensure that the Toy Poodle is the right breed for you.
- Plan Ahead! Often of times our puppies are spoken for before birth through the waitlist that we offer to pre-approved homes. This means we have been through the application/screening process and a small deposit has been accepted. The more specific on color/sex, often of times means the wait can be a bit longer. Girls usually take the longest. Our litters are small and we often only have 1-2 litters per year.
- I encourage you to thoroughly read over my website, especially about the breed and the about me page.
- Next, visit us on social media: Facebook or Instagram for even more photos/video.
- Fill out the puppy questionnaire located on the contact page of my website.
- After this has been done, contact by email or text takes place and we plan a phone call.
- I look forward to talking and learning more about you!
Do I get breeding rights if I get a puppy from you?
- No. All companion pet homes will be on contract to be spayed/neutered when age appropriate and must never be bred.
- Exceptions are never made, unless the puppy is placed in a show home. This means the puppy will be on contract to earn his/her AKC Champion title with a specific professional handler. Breeding must still never take place until the AKC CH title is earned and then following AKC breed standards is a requirement when making your selection for a mate. This is to ensure that our beloved poodle breed will not be mixed or "doodled" with any other breed nor paired with a poor representation of the breed. We are very passionate about the toy poodle. Health, preservation, good temperaments, and improvement are our main goals.
Do you ship your puppies to other states?
Yes, our puppies live all over the United States. However, we do not ship in cargo.
- Puppies must travel in cabin with a flight nanny or the new owner may come and get them. Once in a while I am available to deliver puppies myself by flight and the family meets me at the airport.
- Travel expenses are not included in the puppy's cost.
At what age do puppies get to go home?
This varies from puppy to puppy based on size etc.
- Average age is 10-12 weeks
Do you test parents for PRA/PRCD?
Absolutely! We do not plan a breeding to any Poodle that is positive for PRA/PRCD
We do direct testing. From time to time we may have someone that is Clear by parentage but we only allow parentage up to one generation.

When is your next litter?
This is in the hands of Mother Nature as to when our girls will come in season. Our preference is to have fall litters so often of times we do skip spring/summer breedings. As a show breeder, it is important that we have our puppies when the show season is coming to an end so that we can be here full time to ensure Dam and puppies are thriving and always in optimal condition. We are very hands on here at Winsome Toy Poodles. My world revolves around my poodles and we work hard to pair them with people that will love and care for them the same as we do.
How much does a puppy cost?
Generally they can range from 3,500 - 4,500. These prices may increase depending on the pairing or the cost of the litter.
We start with the healthiest parents, but on few or rare occasions that are out of our control; if a testicle is retained or a bite is off we may or may not offer the puppy at a slightly lower cost. We learn in conformation that no dog is perfect but we strive to produce structurally and emotionally well balanced dogs to the best of our ability of the things that we can control, such as pairing parents with good knees, good health, good temperaments, intelligence and genetic testing for PRA/prcd.
